RECinMED participated in the Ecomondo Fair in Rimini, Italy, one of Europe’s leading events for the green and circular economy, bringing together professionals, institutions and innovators committed to a sustainable future. On 5 November, Marco Affronte, Project Manager of RECinMED, represented the Lead Partner School Centre Velenje and presented the project during the conference “New Solutions for More Sustainable Mediterranean Territories,” organised by the Green Living Areas Mission.
His presentation outlined RECinMED’s objectives, achievements to date and its lasting outputs, including the Euro-MED Renewable Energy Communities Cooperation Forum, a six-module Training Course on Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), and practical toolkits supporting the creation of RECs in urban, rural and island areas. The event also welcomed a delegation from the Municipality of Smolyan, a Bulgarian project partner, and provided valuable opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and explore synergies with other initiatives, notably EnerCmed, highlighting shared goals towards sustainable Mediterranean territories.
