Dr Natia Anastasi and Dr Evanthia Dova from Neapolis University Pafos participated in the Clean Energy for EU Islands (CE4EUislands) Forum 2025, held in São Miguel, Azores, on 14–15 May 2025, representing the Interreg Euro-MED RECinMED project. The Forum gathered representatives from over 30 European island communities under the theme “The Islands Formula: Balancing Environmental, Social and Economic Priorities for the 100% Renewable Goal,” fostering dialogue among policymakers, experts, academics and local leaders.
Through keynote sessions, panel discussions and technical workshops, participants exchanged knowledge on renewable energy deployment, sustainable mobility, grid efficiency and innovative financing, highlighting the essential role of islands as leaders in Europe’s clean energy transition and stressing the importance of community engagement, regulatory clarity and strong public-private cooperation.
